The AP8690 "SLIM BOLD" is a CB antenna with a high efficiency coil on the base of greater robustness compared to the traditional Slim model that provides greater mechanical resistance, greater bandwidth, and greater resistance to RF power. It was designed to operate in the 11 meters range (26,9 to 27,8MHz). Built in high quality stainless steel and chromed brass, the AP8690 has a coax connector of international standard for easy fixation to brackets with gold-plated positive UHF female connectors, silicone washer to prevent moisture between the connector and the antenna. Its "Slim" shape has less wind resistance and its armored coil prevents the influence of nearby metals that may impair its performance. With the spring in the base, the assembly has greater resistance to impacts providing an excellent cost-benefit relation.
