The AP8689 "SLIM BOLD" is a VHF 5/8 Wave mobile antenna with a high-efficiency base coil, sturdier than the traditional Slim model, providing greater mechanical strength, wider bandwidth and higher RF power handling. Designed to operate on the 2 meter band (134-174MHz).
Made of high-quality stainless steel and chrome-plated brass, the VHF AP8689 "SLIM BOLD" has an international-standard coaxial connector for easy mounting on supports with female UHF connectors, a gold-plated center pin and a silicone washer to keep moisture out between connector and antena.
This sturdier antenna line was created with the needs of the Brazilian market in mind:
