The AP8690 "SLIM BOLD" is a PX antenna with a high-efficiency base coil, sturdier than the traditional Slim model, providing greater mechanical strength, wider bandwidth and higher RF power handling. Designed to operate on the 11 meter band (26,9 to 27,8 MHz). Made of high-quality stainless steel and chrome-plated brass, the AP8690 has an international-standard coaxial connector for easy mounting on supports with female UHF connectors, a gold-plated center pin and a silicone washer to keep moisture out between connector and antenna. Its "SLIM" shape offers less wind resistance and its shielded coil prevents the influence of nearby metal that could affect performance. The base spring gives the assembly greater impact resistance, providing excellent cost-effectiveness.
