The AP9101 is a wideband UHF antenna with a high-efficiency base coil, designed to operate on the 70 cm band (430-470 MHz). Made of high-quality stainless steel and chrome-plated brass. It has a Whip-standard NMO connector for mounting on car roofs. Its "SLIM BOLD" shape offers less wind resistance and its shielded coil prevents the influence of nearby metal that could affect performance; it has a Teflon insulator and a gold-plated center pin, providing perfect contact between base and antenna. The spring gives the assembly greater mechanical strength, providing excellent cost-effectiveness.
