The AP8258 and AP82581 are UHF 2x5/8 antennas with a center coil, designed to operate in the (360 to 530MHz) range. Made of chrome-plated brass and high-quality stainless steel, with a zamac connector and high-deformation rubber resistant to ozone, weather and chemicals. They have a Whip (NMO) mount and can be installed on car roofs or a physically similar location whose flat area has a radius of at least 1/4 wave plus 5% at the desired frequency. The spring gives the assembly greater mechanical strength, and the gold-plated center pin ensures perfect contact between base and antenna, providing excellent cost-effectiveness.
